Schools can enter any of the qualifying events above, so please choose the date/venue that works best for your school. Successful teams from each qualifying event will attend the LWSP Bee Netball Final @ Allerton High.  

Bee Netball is England Netball’s priority competition for Year 5/6 pupils (stingers). The introduction to the full game helps pupils to develop excellent netball skills, whilst experiencing playing a variety of positions.  

Please find attached further information regarding the game of Bee Netball, including all competition rules and formats. Please ensure you read through this document on the lead up to the event. Please be aware that teachers may be required to help officiate and score games, so please come prepared. 

Team Requirements  

The event is open to any child in Years 5/6. Bee Netball is a 5-a-side game. The squad should consist of a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine players, with five players on court at any one time. It is encouraged that players play and take part in the rotation procedure, whereby players rotate to play in different positions and act as scorers. (See Bee Netball Rotation Sheets). Players rotate positions at half time and full time.

Mixed OR single sex teams, only two boys are allowed on the court at the same time with a maximum of three boys in the squad. Only five members of the squad are allowed on the court at any one time. Please note you can bring all girls to this event.  

The LWSP staff will be running these events and will be assisted by sports leaders from local secondary schools. Please ensure all staff and spectators from your schools show respect and understanding to our sports leaders.
